© Trusting God for Your Kingdom Purpose

2 Corinthians 3:4-5 NLT
4 We are confident of all this because of our great trust in God through Christ.
5 It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God.

Q:  Discuss the role that trusting God plays in your ability to find and fulfill your Kingdom Purpose. What concerns do you have about your ability to find and fulfill your own Kingdom Purpose?

A:  There are numerous scriptures in the bible that consistently encourage us to trust in God; to trust in His will above our own; trust in Him to guide and lead us in the right direction; trust in Him to supply all our needs, basic and spiritual. Without a sincere and reverent trust for the Lord, how can we surrender ourselves, our own will to His perfect will, and allow Him to lead us where we should go? How can we be sure that the desires of our hearts are those of His, if we do not surrender ourselves completely?

When we were in the world, we did all things through our own might, in our own will, and with hope in what we thought we could achieve, as well as doubt in what we thought we could not. I’m sure many of us can say that time after time we experienced failures among our achievements; some of us more than others. The achievements were there to show us our gifts. The failures there to show us that was not the way to our destinies. Those failures revealed our will, against the Lord’s will, even when we did not realize it. But failures are never truly failures, because the word of God tells us:
Romans 8:28 NLT “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”

So even when we sought out our own will, whether it was because we did not yet know, or because we were unsure of which way to go, or maybe became weary of waiting, or simply wanted control, God took all our shortcomings and has used them to support us in our Kingdom Purpose. Although the ways I had chosen before my eyes were opened, were not the right way, I learned valuable lessons from each failure, which makes each falter a testimony to Glory and Might of the Lord’s Power and His perfect Will to protect us from things we may not see and lead us into victory and prosperity when we surrender our fallible wills for His perfect will, and learn to lean not on our own understanding but rather trust in His perfect provision for us, i.e. His Kingdom Purpose for our lives.
